About Jonathan Asche

A GAY MAN WRITING STORIES FOR, AND ABOUT, GAY MEN

Jonathan Asche has been writing gay erotic fiction since the early 1990s, selling his first story, “The Best Man,” to Mandate magazine in 1994. His work frequently appeared in Torso, Inches, In Touch for Men, Honcho and Playguy. As the magazines began disappearing in the 2000s he started submitting his stories to erotic anthologies, getting his work published in the Best Gay Erotica series, as well as Friction 3, Boys in Heat, Erotica Exotica, and Sweat: Gay Jock Erotica, among others.  He is also author of three erotic novels, Mindjacker (2004), Moneyshots (2007) and Dyre (2016). Citing market changes and a desire to take his writing in a different direction, Jonathan Asche retired from the erotica genre in 2018. His last published erotic story, “The Last Time I Saw Him,” appeared in the 2017 anthology Best Gay Erotica of the Year, Vol. 3, from Cleis Press.

Jonathan Asche lives in Atlanta with his husband, Tomé, and their dog, Nahnu. He is currently writing a new novel under a different name.
